What is scentwork?
Scentwork, also known as scent detection, teaches dogs to search for and locate specific odours using their nose.
It is a mentally demanding activity that encourages dogs to:
think and problem-solve
work independently and with purpose
focus on a clear task
build confidence through success
Because scentwork relies on clear communication and trust, it also strengthens the dog–human relationship, helping handlers learn to read their dog and work as a team.

Regular classes are held at our training venue near Gunn, Barnstaple with workshops run at selected locations across North Devon and Devon.
Scentwork is suitable for dogs of all breeds, ages and backgrounds. No previous experience is needed. Each dog works at their own level and progresses at an appropriate pace.
