Terms & Conditions
Terms and conditions for booking with Top Gunn Canine.
1. Booking & Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking for all 1-2-1 sessions, classes, courses and workshops.
Payment confirms and secures your place and constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
2. Trainer Cancellation
If Top Gunn Canine is required to cancel a session, class or workshop for any reason, you will be offered either:
a rearranged session, or
a full refund.
3. Client Cancellation – 1-2-1 Sessions
1-2-1 sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, given via email or WhatsApp.
Where sufficient notice is provided, you will be offered either:
a refund, or
credit to be used against future training.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the full session fee being charged.
True emergencies may be considered at the trainer’s discretion on a case-by-case basis.
4. Client Cancellation – Classes & Workshops
Cancellations will not be refunded.
At the trainer’s discretion, clients may be permitted to resell their place to another suitable handler and dog.
5. Courses
Once a course has started, sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable, including missed sessions.
Missed sessions cannot be replaced with alternative dates.
6. Non-Attendance & Late Arrival
If you do not attend a session or arrive late, no refund will be given and the session will still end at the originally scheduled time.
7. Weather, Venues & External Factors
Sessions may be cancelled or altered due to factors outside of our control, including adverse weather, venue restrictions, or access limitations.
Where possible, sessions will be rearranged. Refunds are not guaranteed in these circumstances.
8. Dog Welfare & Trainer Discretion
The trainer reserves the right to shorten or end a session if, in their professional judgement:
a dog is not coping,
welfare may be compromised, or
environmental conditions negatively affect training.
No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
9. Reactive, Nervous or Challenging Dogs
Top Gunn Canine does not offer behaviour modification services for reactivity.
However, reactive or nervous dogs may be accepted into suitable sessions (particularly scentwork) at the trainer’s discretion.
Clients must disclose any known behavioural concerns prior to booking.
Failure to do so may result in the session being terminated without refund.
10. Safety, Control & Equipment
Dogs must remain under control and on lead at all times unless express permission is given by the trainer.
Off-lead work is permitted only when specifically instructed.
Failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave the venue without refund.
11. Responsibility & Liability
Clients agree to follow all training, handling and management advice provided.
Top Gunn Canine cannot accept responsibility for incidents where advice has not been followed or inappropriate equipment has been used.
12. Insurance
Top Gunn Canine is fully insured with Protectivity Insurance.
Insurance cover does not apply where clients fail to follow professional advice or use suitable equipment.
13. Data Protection & Privacy
Client data is collected solely for the purpose of providing training services and communication.
Personal information will not be shared with third parties and will be handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
